I moved to Seattle at the end of March. How long does it take to get a job here? I was the office manager for two nursing homes. I've been looking for work since I got here. Nothing yet. What do you have to do to get a job here, or does it usually take a longer to get employment here? Any suggestions?

I used to work nursing home and geriatric facilities for 4 years.Also, I am LVN in japan and Medical assistant in US . As I learne work in that kind of job , Yes we have a lots of opportunities in wa. Howevever, you will be faced very, very unoraganized companies , that is challenging ... But if you want to challenginhg your skill , you can do it

mssimmons - did you find a job yet?

I've lived in the Seattle area for almost 16 yrs. & I can tell you that it's always been hard to get a job, whether the economy's good or bad. That's one of the reasons I've been planning to relocate to the SW. Of course right now it's hard to get a job *anywhere*, no matter what education or experience you have or what career field you're in.
