relocating to seatlle?

My wife and I are planning to move to Seattle, I work in a warehouse for a large company and she is a med assistant. How is the job situation for this type of work? We also don't mind working in retail or anything else that pays :) We are from RI and only Michigan is ahead of us in the unemployment dept. My wife thought Seattle was a beautiful city when she visited. Any help would be appreciated - thanks
