What are the seasons like in South Lake Tahoe? How do South Lake Tahoe dwellers cope?

We have a second home up here and have enjoyed all four seasons for the past three years. It really hasn't snowed during this time like it traditionally does, but even back then, the weather is very nice between storms. I read somewhere that South Lake Tahoe gets 300 Days of Sunshine a year! Seattle is lucky if it gets half that amount. (I lived there too for 10 years, so I can speak from experience.)

winter = lots of snow, awesome ski and snowboard conditions, very busy with tourists
spring = people starting to show up to the beaches, sunny but chilly, not many tourists
summer = gets to about 95 at the hottest, beaches are full swing, tourists everywhere
fall = goes from warm to cold quickly, everyone praying for snow, no tourists anywhere

and its sunny all year.
