What are the seasons like in St. Petersburg? How do St. Petersburg dwellers cope? |

Well, I'm a native and I've always HATED Florida. It's hot and the humidity is unbearable for most of the year. Some years a winter is so short and warm you wonder if you had winter yet or not. The change of seasons is nonexistant and if you like cool and crisp, forget this place. I cope by cranking up the A/C and pretending. It costs a fortune, but is essential for my personal sanity. If I could afford to move north, I definitely would. I feel I've lost a good part of my life to a place I truly despise and I've spoken with a lot of people who share my situation. Hating it but too poor to move north. |
