Hello everyone!!! I am Mark from across the pond in the UK - although I am not from London as the entry defaulted to - I am from the West Midlands (near a city called Birmingham).

I might be moving to Stockton in a few years time (3-5), and I was wondering what the nicest areas to live in the city are. I was also wondering about job prospects etc. I have worked in Libraries (university ones) and have also taught in our secondary school (11-18 year olds). I have two degrees (Batchelors and Masters degree in English and History), and wondered where the most likely place to start looking for jobs would be in terms of agencies/schools etc.

Hope the good burghers of Stockton can give me some advice

Ciao, Mark

My grandmother is in Nottingham...why Stockton? Not a nice place at all if your set on that particular area try Lodi but it might be best to look Sacramento way or even Bay Area depending on what you want to do for work.

Hi Jenna

Is that Nottingham, England?? About 50 miles from where I sit and type this!

Thankyou for the advice. Stockton is the place, because my fiance has just landed a job in the hospital there (she is a staff nurse). She will be probably moving before I do too....I guess we will have to grab a car so we can have a bit of freedom of choice.

She does have friends in Sacramnto! In the Bay Area, I guess 'Frisco is expensive, am I right?? What about Oakland?

Cheers
