The best neighborhood is North Tacoma and the worst are salishan northeast tacoma nd south tacoma.

The people with Safe Street Neighborhood groups and Tacoma Police Dept, Code Enforcement,City of Tacoma have been working very hard on these issues. Just in a year time from Nov 2007 to Nov 2008 crime rate in the South end area, where I live has drop 38%. We are very proud of this and is still working hard to make it better for everyone. As far a Salishan they too are working hard to make it safe.
