I am looking for a position in receptionist or medical records clerk type position. I would like to be paid 10.00 and above. I have many years experiance in both positions. However I do have a snag in my back ground, I got a DUI in 2005, It was meds that are given to me by a doctor for my neck, back and a hystorectomy I had done in 2003. I had all 3 medical problems with in 8 months of each other and I have had a hard time finding any job due to the fact that I have a DUI. It sounds worse than it really is. I am a hard worker , honest, dependable and a loyal employee. I just need some one to believe in me the way I do and give me a chance to prove my self.

I have just relocated to Tucson and have not found any local info other than the on-line CareerBuilding, Job.com, etc. Is there a
local website or other place to get current job info. I am registered with an employment agency but they are not moving very fast. I would like to find a temp position while looking for permanent employment. Any research help will be appreciated.

www.tucsonhelpwanted.com is a local job board, but like all the job boards right now, not a whole lot to choose from in Tucson. *sigh*

hang in there!

Jobing.com and TucsonHelpWanted.com are the two best so far. Monster and CareerBuilder are okay. If you're looking for a govt job, USAJobs.com is pretty good.

Folks, if you have moved here from the East coast or from California expecting a good job here in Tucson, you will be SEVERELY disappointed. The job market here is the worst I have seen in many years. You will be extremely lucky if you do score a very good job here.

There is a new website that is exclusively for searching for jobs in Tucson.
It links to Tucson Employer's career pages and also links to local job searching resources.

It is www.jobsearchtucson.com

I hope it is helpful in your job search.

None! Go to Google maps and do a search in a specific industry (e.g., “construction companies”). Zoom into a specific geographical area, quadrant, part of city, etc. (In your case, Tucson, vicinity, etc.). You’ll see red dots and flags. Click on one and you should get a popup box with a company name, address, phone number, and hopefully a website, or look to the left to see listings of companies under "get directions," etc. Go to the company’s website and find an option to submit an online application or email them a cover letter and resume. If that’s not an option, print out your cover letter and resume and mail it through the US postal service. If they indicate they aren’t hiring, send it anyway.
