(FT) HR GENERALIST
OPUBCO is seeking a highly motivated HR Generalist to join our talented team of HR professionals. The position reports to the HR Director as a true business partner who is ready to support an innovative, customer-oriented, challenge-the status-quo organization. The HR Generalist will be crucial in supporting the business by providing focused solutions in areas of recruitment and employee relations. The position will also serve as our functional HRIS expert and will serve in a back-up role for our payroll and benefits staff when needed.
Key Responsibilities include:
Recruitment: Provide advice to hiring managers on best practices related to recruitment. Create job ads, pre-screen and interview candidates, attend job fairs, and help us take social media recruitment to a new level.
Employee Relations : Assist the HR Director in the investigation and resolution of employee concerns. Serve as a management consultant regarding employee performance issues. Coach employees and managers through employment-related challenges.
HRIS: Create and run reports to provide requested data from HRIS system; identify and track system-related needs and requests; work with HR team and IS partners to prioritize and resolve system-related needs and requests; take the lead on testing system-related fixes, enhancements, and upgrades.
Payroll & Benefits : Provide assistance to the Payroll and Benefits Specialists and fill in as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited four year college or university in an associated discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources or related field.
- Advanced Excel and MS office required
- Knowledge of and experience with SAP HCM is a plus
- PHR certification preferred
