Our Systems Consultant is primarily responsible for complex analysis and design of systems solutions across multiple technical and business environments. Working closely with both business partners and application developers, this position acts as subject matter expert for multiple applications and various technical platforms. Oversight of coding, research, testing and implementation of newer technologies and/or vendor applications are critical components of this position. This position is involved in operational planning with business partners. The Systems Consultant I, working with minimal guidance, is sought to address highly complex business and technical problems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Performs analysis and design of complex processes and systems within various business and technical environments.
Assists application developers and business partners in research, problem solving and investigation of new procedures, software, equipment and operating systems to determine their usefulness and applicability for business initiatives.
Leads projects, as assigned, performing all aspects of project management.
Understands and supports organizational goals/priorities, and translates tactical plans into solutions.
Mentors various levels of IS professionals in technical matters and related business operations.
Maintains expertise to function as a subject matter expert in multiple technical and business disciplines (i.e., develops strong partnerships with business clients, application developers, software vendors and other technical resources).
Designs, constructs and implements complex segments of systems.
Writes program specifications for complex technical segments of systems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Technical Skills
2 yrs developing in SQL Server 2005 and/or 2008 environment w/ T-SQL
- 4 yrs .Net, specifically utilizing C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML
Desired but Optional Skills
- WCF Web Services
- Experience developing complex applications, preferably enterprise apps with 4 team members working on projects of at least 6 months duration for development phase.
- Development experience at all tiers of n-tiered application(s)
