This role will have responsibility in leading single- and multi-site projects, and positive results must be achieved through strong and consistent communications with multiple levels of MST and divisional associates and vendors. The candidate will have fiscal responsibility in writing, submitting, and awarding cabling statements of work, and will subsequently manage vendor resources to keep them in line with project budget guidelines. The candidate must be a team player, and must have flexibility to work on a variety of implementation efforts concurrently. The Private Brands Initiatives (PBI) Group within the Merchandising Business Unit at MST is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst - Developer, who is eager to work in a complex program that has many technologies ranging from mainframe, Java, .net (c#), SSIS, BizTalk, Oracle, SQL Server, IIS, iLog, to name a few.
This position is ideal for a strong .Net Developer who is looking to gain experience integrating with a variety of technolgies and learning new technolgies, as well. This position would serve as a Development Lead and Release Architect within the program, requiring strong technical leadership and problem solving skills. Expertise in the design, development, modification, and implementation of highly complex information systems that conform to MST standards and methodology and that may cross FOBs is required. The right individual would drive projects or project phases to completion from a technical leadership perspective.
Establishes technical design goals based on customer requirements and explores design options to help define and coordinate project scope.
Researches existing software components and technology, explores design and infrastructure options, and recommends solutions based on customer requirements. Promotes system reuse by using process templates and application layering techniques.
Translates customer requirements into functional specifications and develops the conceptual, logical and physical data models to integrate solutions into the existing infrastructure, as needed.
Estimates time and work effort to build and stabilize systems for new projects, enhancements, and maintenance according to specifications, and assists the Project Manager in building and meeting the project plan/schedule.
Designs, builds, codes, or modifies highly complex systems. Works directly with technical resources, scheduling, and changes and participates in feature trade-off decisions.
May be responsible for training, mentoring, directing, and validating the work of other programmer analysts.
Keeps management well informed on a timely basis of progress, status, and concerns for each assignment.
Effectively communicates ideas and information with peers, management, and customers.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Bachelors degree in CIS/MIS preferred.
Minimum of 4-5 years experience with one or more web programming languages (C#.Net, SQL, Java, HTML)
Excellent understanding of full life cycle development
Excellent technical, analytical, problem solving, multitasking, and time management skills with consistent attention to detail. Advanced understanding of analytical techniques such as logical data modeling and process modeling. Knowledge and skills related to additional technical tools are a plus (Visio, data modeling tools, window prototyping tools).

Advanced functional understanding of the assigned retail business area (Private Brands) and how it interacts with other areas of the business and detail processes. Overall understanding of the MST suite of systems and their interdependence is a plus.
