The Web Application Developer will be responsible for the programming, application design, and implementation of a wide variety of Web-based products in the fields of .NET (C#) and PHP5 technologies. The candidate should be proficient in RAD SDLC and end-to-end development (design, coding, development, and testing). The individual must be comfortable with advanced SQL syntax and SQL database development in a rapidly changing environment and be adapt at multitasking. The Web Application Developer will be responsible for supporting the existing applications/websites and as necessary new development.
Perform application programming assignments, typically maintenance, enhance, and modify existing systems on an ASP.NET and PHP5 platform.
Utilizes appropriate software tools to develop new functionalities, document, test, and debug programs/objects which have been assigned.
Develop web application components using XML, HTML5, XHTML, and PHP5.
Carry out various forms of testing unit, string, system, user acceptances testing. Ensure that desired test results are achieved.
Develop and document test data, performs testing to verify that the programs function are correct, and to ensure that modifications have not caused errors in other parts of the program or in interfacing programs.
Design and develop applications using Compact Framework 3.0.
Create Forms using C#.Net with Visual Studio .NET 2010.
Create and validate web pages by using Ajax.
Develop custom ad-hoc reports by using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Active Reports 2.0, SSIS packages.
Use Team Foundation Server (TFS) for source control and management.
Involved in unit testing and integration testing of the Application.
Performs tasks related to the development of special reports for management.
Develop database-driven Web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing.
Understands complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs.
Understands browser specific compatibility issues.
5+ years of web development experience in Microsoft technologies
Hands-on experience in.NET Framework 3.5/4.0, JQuery ASP.Net, VB.NET 0& ADO.NET
Experience with XML/XSLT/XPATH, HTML5
Experience with developing & implementing Web Services, MVC
Experience with CMS, CSS3, Umbarco is a plus
Experience with Visual Studio 2008-2010
Experience with Source Control VSS/TFS
Experience with multi-tier system development
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies (SDLC)
Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008
Design, development and implementation of Web Services/WCF Applications
SQL and database design
Ability to develop reports and databases in MS-SQL Reporting Services
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (and/or equivalent experience)
