Ahern, one of the leading mechanical and fire protection contractors in the United States, has an exciting opportunity for a second shift Welder within our Fond du Lac, WI Sheet Metal Shop. You owe it to yourself to find out what Ahern has to offer! How you will contribute: Duties of this position would include MIG and TIG welding and following fabrication drawings. Operation of machines such as shear, press brake, and other fabrication equipment in addition to assembling equipment form fabricated parts will be responsibilities of the role. Duties will include set up of machines and production of parts from sheet metal, plate, and bar stock.

Experience Required:

What you need to qualify: Welder applicants must have a high school diploma or its equivalent, and must meet required norms on aptitude tests. One to three years of welding experience is preferred. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating flexibility to assist where needed, by displaying the ability to read fabrication drawings and follow directions, and have a quality focus. Previous knowledge of ductwork systems for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning are a plus. Team work and respect will be essential in the position.
