ABC is currently seeking an individual with comprehensive retail skills and management experience to join our Retail Operations Division as a Store Manager Assistant B. This individual will provide management oversight to one of our retail stores located in Charlottesville.
Incumbent assists the store manager in planning, organizing, and directing store operations, participates in all essential operational activities and assumes full responsibility for store functions in the absence of the store manager. Duties include monitoring customer service of subordinates, investigating and resolving customer complaints, applying merchandising techniques, accounting for all store funds, managing inventory levels, and assisting in completing required documentation. Additional duties involve assisting store manager with evaluation of staff and training part-time employees.
Qualified applicants should have knowledge of the principles and practices of retail operations along with experience supervising staff, providing direct customer service, making decisions and problem solving. Experience performing cash accounting and inventory/category management tasks, utilizing personal computers and point of sales or similar cash register systems is needed along with retail management experience. The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing is important. Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. Must be at least 21 years of age.
