ECU School of Dental Medicine is a new dental school. With the completion of the Inaugural Class of 2015, this position was created to perform complex functions associated with highly integrated curriculum. In August, the Class of 2016 begins and so on until 2018 when the school will be at full capacity. Within the Office of Dental Education and Informatics, the Curriculum Committee is responsible for curriculum oversight. This position serves as the tactical coordinator of the activities of the Curriculum Committee and related sub-committees.
This position reports to the Assistant Dean for Dental Education and Informatics who chairs the Curriculum Committee. As the Assistant to the Assistant Dean, this is the only other position that must understand the complexities of all the themes and how each aspect is integrated into the total domain. This position is responsible for coordinating a high volume of information, working with all SoDM-related faculty, and for producing reports that track information generated by all aspects of the curriculum. This position is responsible for coordination of education-related parts of accreditation and University reports.
Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in business, public administration, communication or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with extensive experience in any of the listed disciplines. All degrees should be from appropriately accredited institutions. Must have excellent conceptual, interpersonal and problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
