Delta Construction Partners is a National Executive Search and Management Consulting Firm for the Nation's premier General and Electrical Contractors and Industry professionals. Delta has been retained to conduct a search to fill the above position for a confidential client in their Nashville, TN office.
The Account Manager is the key sales person in the local marketplace, primarily responsible for achieving assigned annual quota by developing new business relationships and expanding sales with existing customers.
: Maintain a very active outside call schedule that includes finding and developing prospects into new customers; maintaining relationships and continuing to develop sales with current customers.
: Work cooperatively with Branch operations staff to service the customer base properly
: Respond positively to the coaching of Sales Management
: Understand the exact needs of the customer
: Learn and utilize the company sales process as trained by the company
: Plan and accomplish goals by utilizing experience and judgment
: Dividing the sales territory into zones and scheduling appointments and site visits in the most time efficient manner; rotate through the zones in a timely manner; understanding all corporate strategic and sales initiatives and applying that understanding to territory development; adhering to company pricing and policies
: Submit required reports and plans in a complete and timely manner
: Participate in company initiatives, sales meetings and events
: Appointment setting and aggressive cold-calling are required
: Additional duties as assigned
: 3+ years outside and/or business-to-business sales experience
: Construction industry knowledge and/or experience preferred
: Experience building sales territories as opposed to inheriting established territories.
: Demonstrative success with service-based selling and face-to-face cold-calling. (approx. 40 calls per week)
: Understanding of basic consultative sales process
: Highest commitment to customer service, development and satisfaction
: Self-motivated, goal oriented with a strong desire to succeed
: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure
: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software programs and intranet usage
: Valid Driver's License and a car that can be used for work
: Bilingual language skills a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
