Accountant II (NA)
As a Temporary Indirect Tax Accountant, your challenge will be to leverage your analytical, technical capabilities, persistence and enthusiasm to provide the utmost adherence to Indirect Tax compliance. You will continually expand your expertise in Indirect Tax and Accounting as well as demonstrate your abilities to bring superior accounting and leadership.
You will be responsible for supporting the Indirect Tax team located in Ontario, CA. Supporting a high volume of businesses across the United States, you must be able to respond quickly and maintain a high sense of urgency to ensure integrity and accuracy of the reporting from yourself. You will be responsible to build a network across the organization as well as external third party support teams to leverage best- in-class results. To excel in this role you should be able to constantly challenge yourself and others to achieve and surpass the goals of the team.
Additional responsibilities may include:
•Ensure US tax compliance, adhering to local laws and deadlines
•Preparation of monthly indirect tax provisions and related journal entries, utilizing knowledge of IFRS and Statement of Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 450.
•Validate general ledger account reconciliations and accruals
•Maintain an in-depth knowledge of federal and state income and sales tax laws, regulations and current developments
•Develop relationships with various tax, legal, treasury, business and accounting personnel throughout the company to gather and analyze data needed for tax compliance
•Obtain a thorough understanding of key internal financial reporting and tax compliance software capabilities and reporting functions
•Provide assistance with tax authority audits through information gathering and support documentation
•Interface with 3rd party Property Tax vendors to ensure Property Tax filings and payments are made in a timely manner
•Lead data gathering process for submission of Unclaimed Property filings and audits in various states

What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate for the Temporary Indirect Tax Accountant role will have demonstrated strong analytical capabilities as well as technical knowledge of Indirect Tax compliance.
•Bachelor’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance required
•3+ years’ experience in a large corporate environment preferred.
•Knowledge of US Indirect tax laws/regulations
•Able to work under critical time constraints.
•Knowledge of ERP systems and tax software; SAP and Vertex preferred
•Excellent analytical, organization, planning and communication skills.
•Intellectual curiosity – consistently trying new methods, never comfortable.
