Our accounting team is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant in support of our Orange, TX facility.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with the Site Controller to establish Receipt of Service (ROS) process goals and objectives
Determine and apply metrics to the ROS process to effectively measure performance against expectations
Manage the ROS workflow and backlog using tools to determine and prioritize tasks
Establish and manage ROS expectations for suppliers, including invoicing frequency, required support, and criteria for rejecting supplier invoicing / support
Properly document receipt of service and approvals to support processing of supplier ROS activity into SAP and support invoice processing and payment.
Establish and maintain appropriate procedural documentation to support the ROS process and training of new employees
Provide periodic reporting on ROS performance, including key metrics and related information generated by A/P
Work with accounts payable to ensure issues identified are resolved in a timely manner
Gain an understanding of the “INVISTA Standards of Financial Control” and ensure compliance in your area of responsibility
Required Education, Skills and Experience
High School Graduate with 2+ years Accounts Payable experience OR Associate degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related program from an accredited college/university
3+ months accounting/finance experience in a corporate environment
3+ months experience in the use of financial ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Financials, SAP)
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related program from an accredited college/university
