JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining and analyzing data related to the financial performance of the organization and individual departments. The Analyst is also responsible for compiling and reporting information as requested by Financial Accounting, Internal Audit and management. Other responsibilities include the assistance with annual operating budgets and maintenance of a monthly dashboard of key indicators and external benchmarks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the development of auditing, reporting and contract modeling tools as needed for identification and analysis of rate and/or fee schedule auditing, financial performance and contract performance as well as modeling and analysis of potential opportunities.

Prepare and maintain revenue Models

Support Director with compilation of information needed for organization profit and loss statements required by financial accounting

Maintain monthly dashboard of key indicators and external benchmarks as defined by management

Other projects associated with the goals of ensuring optimal levels of reimbursement to the providers within the organization.

Assist with annual departmental and administrative operating budgets

Maintains data in statistical analysis, graphical and other presentation formats.

Demonstrates the components of the ICARE values statement.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards. Communicates with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the workplace.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

BBA, BS or BA with a major in Accounting, or related degree is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Requires three to five years financial analysis experience in health care, insurance and/or business industry

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Experience with Excel and Access software.

Strong analytical and database skills.

Ability to analyze and manipulate data and financial reports to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of the organization.

Familiar with the managed care environment and have a good understanding of managed care reimbursement methodologies and terms.

Must be detail oriented and should be able to develop an understanding of the data import/reimbursement calculation process as designed in-house as well as through third-party vendor software programs
