This position is located in the Office of Overseas Protective Operations, International Programs Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The incumbent serves as an Acquisitions Management Analyst with responsibilities of providing expert analysis, advice, guidance and direction to management in support of contractual requirements associated with the worldwide personal protective services, surveillance detection, residential security, and high-threat protection programs.

- Serves as an Acquisitions Management Analyst with responsibilities for providing expert advice and guidance in the support of contractual requirements associated with local guard force services.
- Monitors contractor performance through a variety of analytical techniques to ensure all performance requirements are being met.
- Review and evaluate the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of local guard services.
- Provides technical and oversight of pre-solicitations and pre-post award to contracting activities, including verifying contract requirements, developing and reviewing contract solicitations, amendments and modifications, establishing delivery schedules, analyzing and preparing independent cost estimates, developing responses to question from prospective bidders.
- Reviews proposed contract modifications to ensure compliances with security standards.

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

- Experience of local guards security operations, surveillance detection, residential security and high-threat protection programs.
- Experience applying Federal contracting rules and regulations to provide oversight of complex contracts that provides protective security operations.
- Experience developing contract solicitations, amendments and modifications, delivery schedules, and cost estimates.
- Experience analyzing and evaluating the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of protective security programs.
