Provide registration and admission functions for Corrections Division as well as training for clerical staff at Correctional Center sites.
Description of Essential Functions:
1. Prepare letters and memorandums for the Deans of Correctional Programs. 2. Provide training on registration and admissions to Correctional Center site clerical staff. 3. Create sections in Datatel for all correctional center programs. 4. Distribute and track all rosters. 5. Act as a liaison contact between Correctional Center site clerical staff and campus Admissions office. 6. Create and Maintain filing system of all correspondence. 7. Maintain centralized filing system on all Correctional Center sites and staff. 8. Responsible for the accuracy of rosters from each Correctional Center sites. 9. Answer phones and direct calls as required. 10. Assist institutional personnel in emergency situations. 11. Assist with preparation of the Department of Corrections contract with Lake Land College. 12. Provide follow up training to site clerical staff as needed. 13. Maintain equipment assigned to area. 14. Be on site a minimum of 37.5 hours per week (30 minute lunch). 15. Arrive at work site prior to beginning of established shift. 16. Attend college and staff meeting as required. 17. Attend training as required. 18. Observe, support, and enforce the regulations, policies, and programs of the College and inform the President in writing of any problem that might have a detrimental effect on the College. 19. Conduct oneself in a professional manner. 20. Notify supervisor well in advanced of absence. 21. Abide by D.O.C. and Lake Land College regulations at all times.
Specific Functional Job Requirements
Education: Associate degree required. Bachelor degree preferred Experience: Clerical, Computer, Bookkeeping Experience required. Correctional Experience preferred. Knowledge: Highly developed bookkeeping, computer, clerical and software knowledge required. Skills: Analytical Skills required, Good communication skills required. Personal: Excellent Interpersonal Skills. Physical: Must be able to perform routine clerical tasks and be able to drive to required locations. Drug Testing Required.
