The Administrative Assistant coordinates and communicates with Administration, physicians, management, staff, and external agencies to facilitate department and hospital strategic goals. Generates reports and tracks compliance according to the director's requirements. Provides administrative and clerical support to department Directors. May coordinate messages, appointments, and information to callers, file maintenance, orders department office supplies, and mail.

Researches, compiles, and proofs word processing assignments. Operates automated office equipment. Exercises good judgment, prioritizes management of activities, and provides continuity in internal/external communications. Strong Interpersonal communication and computer skills are necessary for this position.

Experience: 2 to 3 years experience performing administrative and secretarial support to members of the healthcare management team.
