The Administrative Assistant position is responsible for providing administrative support to the functional area Manager as required or requested. Handles a wide variety of complex, time sensitive and confidential situations and resolves conflicts involving the clerical and administrative function of the office. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, answering and addressing phone calls, scheduling appointments and travel arrangements, drafting correspondence, conducting basic research and problem resolution, producing reports and/or presentations, maintaining filing system and important documents. Assists with special projects and business objectives as needed. Serves in dual capacity, supporting accounting, purchasing, sales, etc.
•College Degree in Business or related field preferred.
•5+ years related work experience in an administrative support and customer service capacity, preferably at a senior level.
•Prior work experience appropriately handling confidential material required.
•Must be able to work independently, under minimal supervision, and possess strong organizational skills that assist Senior Management in their business practices.
•Demonstrated customer service and telephone skills required.
•Working knowledge of basic computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes required. Additional business application knowledge may be further defined at the Division level.
•Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to multi-task, as well as work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
•Business & industry knowledge a plus.
