About the Position:
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South Command.

As an Admin Support Assistant at Joint Interagency Task Force South, you will work in the Command Group Directorate and provide support to the International Affairs Division which includes a staff of four and seventeen Foreign Liaison Officers from fourteen different Partner Nations. You will be supervised by the International Liaison Officer and work in a unique joint environment with all military services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard) and a multitude of interagencies (e.g., CBP, ICE, DEA, FBI). KEY REQUIREMENTS

TDY may constitue up to 10%.

Fluent in oral and written Spanish language.

DUTIES:
Provides administrative support to the organization, Responsible for planning and accomplishing routine as well as non-routine administrative procedural work of the office and coordinate a wide variety of office administrative requirements. Works under the general supervision of the International Affairs Division Chief who sets the overall objectives of the work and relies on the incumbent to independently carry out normal administrative assignments to completion. Coordinates and works with the Pass & ID Office to ensure all in-processing procedures are met for newly assigned family members. Ensures that temporary and permanent lodging are taken care of. Maintains exclusive control over appointments, with complete authority for commitments of time.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Specialized experience: To qualify you must have one year of progressively responsible experience at the GS/GG-08 or equivalent in the Federal service that included experience in performing and coordinating a variety of clerical and administrative work for an office; experience in using various office automation, i.e. DTS; and experience in applying this experience in a way that increases the effectiveness of the organization.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

NOTE: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency so long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower grade in the series.
