The Parks and Community Services Department Community Services Division is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Administrative Technician to coordinate and provide routine administrative support. Duties will include recording and transcribing meeting minutes, prepare for board meetings, posting agendas, processing monetary deposits, research expenses and revenues for budget preparation, scheduling and maintenance of vehicles, prepare statistical reports, memorandums and correspondence. This position will also run errands, make purchases and perform other related duties as assigned. Successful candidate will have the ability to comprehend and follow through with assignments, provide excellent customer service and is detail-oriented. Skills / Requirements
Associates Degree from an accredited college with major course work in Business, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Office Administration or related field plus two (2) years of combined complex clerical and routine administrative experience is required. Preference will be given to applicants who have transcription experience. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience is required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass a Computerized Office Skills exam with a minimum score of 70; and must type 40 wpm.
Must be able to take and pass a typing and clerical exam. The clerical exam is administered Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Appointments are not required. For more information, call 817-392-7750.

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time; manual dexterity required.
