This is a professional position involving the overall management of operations for Hospice/Home Care services. Coordinates accreditation, regulatory and quality assessment/quality improvement efforts. Maintains compliance with DOH, Medicare, Medicaid, funding contracts and other requirements and standards. Supervises program personnel, provides oversight and coordination of the referral and admissions process for PMS services, assuring appropriate referral and payor sources. Oversees business office functions, manages record keeping system, assists with developing a workforce and services which are organized in such a manner as to provide for optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness. Responsible for the fiscal success of programs including planning, directing, and evaluating the budgeting and financial control, accounting system and program funds. Through community relationships and responsibility for public relations, development, and community-outreach components, ensures that the programs and services of all programs are well-known and well-respected with PMS and in the service area. Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Public Health, Business Administration or closely related field. A combination of significant and relevant education and/or experience may be substituted on a year-by-year basis for the degree requirement. Three years experience in a responsible management/supervisory position, preferably within the health care or human services. May be required to use personal transportation to carry out job duties. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must provide a current motor vehicle record.
