This recruitment will only be used to fill vacancies located at the Oahu Community Correctional Facility (OCCC).
Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN-RX) provide direct advanced nursing care to patients by performing comprehensive health assessments for the purpose of disease prevention and health promotion. In addition to providing comprehensive health care, some positions are also responsible for clinic management, coordination of health services, nursing program evaluation, and/or nursing policy development.
The APRN-RX prescribe the appropriate medications/drugs within their scope of practice, as recognition in a collegial working relationship with a licensed physician and an exclusionary formulary.
Note: Applicants must be willing and able to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
A. License to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Hawaii.
B. Recognition to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Prescriptive Authority, in the State of Hawaii.

Other Requirements: All applicants who are conditionally offered employment or conditionally approved for movement into this position shall be subject to drug screening, as required by Federal, State or local laws, or departmental policy; and will be subject to an intensive background check.
