The Quality Improvement Consultant provides quality improvement consulting services for regional physicians and practices. The individual works with healthcare practices throughout the region to promote best care practices. Through educating and consulting with physicians and other patient care providers, the Quality Improvement Specialist supports quality initiatives and the achievement of objectives by data collection, data analysis, facilitation of efforts, evaluation of outcomes, and other improvement methods. The individual interacts with a diverse group of individuals and agencies to assure that improvement efforts are successful and the results communicated.
Experience Requirements :
Four years work experience including two years experience with quality tools and methods in a healthcare setting required. Previous work in a private physician office and detailed knowledge of quality initiatives such as PCMH and/or PQRS is preferred.
Select Education Type :
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Master's degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements :
Must possess a valid NC driver's license and a current unrestricted NC license as a clinician, if applicable.
