Plan, perform and coordinate all operation, modifications, inspections, maintenance and servicing of aircraft and ground support equipment.
Improvise tooling and methods as required to complete job.
Certify all required work.
Keep abreast of and assure compliance with all applicable federal government and civilian regulations and the like pertaining to the maintenance and modification of aircraft.
This is a SEA Union Represented position.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Position requires High School Graduate or GED. Four (4) years experience as an aircraft mechanic in the military, industrial or commercial aviation.
Must be current in the aviation field within the previous 24 months and have exercised the
“FULL”
extent of the A&P license.
Three years Turbo Jet experience.
Heavy jet preferred, but not required. FAA Airframe and power plant License required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
This is a safety-sensitive position and falls under the provisions of the FAA's mandatory drug and alcohol testing requirements, including the release of prior drug and alcohol testing results from previous employers for the past two (2) years, in accordance with 49 CFR 40 and 14 CFR 120
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong electrical back ground in avionics and electrical systems troubleshooting. Aircraft sheetmetal experienced.
