Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for an Alumni Officer. As part of the membership and marketing team, the Alumni Officer will assist in the recruitment and retention efforts of dues-paying members and increase auxiliary income that provides operating revenues for the association. This position coordinates the daily operations of membership recruitment and retention, merchandise program, and Group Incentive Program. Participating in alumni events and serving as a Young Alumni Council liaison are required, as well as other duties as assigned to promote the general welfare of the ISUAA, the university, and its constituents.

The successful candidate will be a creative self-starter and have the ability to solve problems, make sound decisions, and work well with a variety of personality types. The candidate will also possess the ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail. Effective organizational skills, as well as oral and written communication skills will also be needed for success in this position.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or related field and one year of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with marketing, direct mail, sales or business practices
- Experience with membership recruitment and retention
- Experience with database collection, management, and analysis
- Experience with merchandise sales
- Experience with budget planning and management
- Experience with social media and other electronic media for marketing

Minimum $37,113
