Tenure-track appointment effective August 2013; in American Literature or African American Literature with a focus on the nineteenth century. Teaching load consists of four courses per semester teaching undergraduate freshman composition and humanities and graduate courses in the M.A Program and Ph.D. Program. Candidate should be able to develop and teach on-line courses as needed. Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to working with an ethically and culturally diverse student population.
Minimum Qualifications: PhD from an accredited college or university; experience teaching at the collegiate level. This is an open ranked position and the successful candidate may obtain rank based on the following experience levels:
Assistant Professor 1-2 Years
Associate Professor 5-7 Years
Professor 10 + years
Preference: Experience in Digital Humanities; secondary interest poetry, film studies, or gender studies.
