Our direct client in NJ is seeking an API Support Technician to work in the eBroking US Client Services team with responsibility for on-boarding and supporting new and existing API trading solutions to our client base. The candidate will also be expected to work weekends when needed to support customer testing and or releases. Responsibilities: Client implementation and support API trading solutions Manage the client integration process from testing through to go live Providing technical advice to the business, specifically with regard to client on-boarding solutions Provide input towards enhancements that require API modifications Produce plans for ongoing projects, releases, and support Remain current with industry developments and standards Assist on projects and with system testing during upgrades and new releases Proactively manage issues to a successful conclusion, following up as necessary Build solid working relationships with clients and third party vendors Liaise with business and IT staff from other company sites where appropriate and visit these sites when required (this may include international travel) Liaise with other IT areas within the company as required Assist in the development of existing processes and create new processes as required Attend team meetings, providing status updates for work being performed Monitor client connectivity Essential Skills: Extensive knowledge of FIX/FAST Protocol Knowledge of Java/J2EE and .NET Database technologies, specifically SQL would be an advantage Unix/Linux scripting and Windows Server preferable Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP over LAN, WAN, and VPN Familiarity with financial markets (ideally someone who has worked for a Bank or an Exchange) Be able to demonstrate strong skills in supporting Electronic Trading Systems (order management, etc.) Good front end trading system experience Be able to demonstrate strong IT technical, analytical and support skills Vendor relationship management Qualities: Good presentation skills Strong client-facing skills Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to formulate unique and viable solutions Work and deliver under pressure, across multiple projects Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, both internal and external Be flexible & prepared to work in a changing environment, as business needs dictate.

He/she must have the ability to learn quickly whilst working under pressure within a small team, taking responsibility for issues from start to finish.
