PRIMARY PURPOSE: To develop and maintain the quality system for new and revised products which is consistent with corporate quality policy. To monitor and guide product development teams to ensure Advanced Quality Planning is used in the development process. To provide technical support to product engineering, marketing, customers, plants and tooling.

1.Develops Quality System for new products and product changes including the development of inspection methods, inspection equipment, and inspection frequency. Owner of the following PDP deliverables: control plans, measurement plans, qualification plans, qualification run summary reports, gage design/procurement/verification, and PPAP package. May take direction from more senior department members for critical or extraordinarily large programs.

2.Facilitates and provides expertise in the development of FMEA's, Control Plans, Qualification Plans, 8D problem solving, metrology processes, etc., in new product development and product changes.

3.Performs statistical analysis for the qualification, control, and continuous improvement of processes, products, and equipment for stamping, molding and assembly.

4.Completes customer required documentation relating to customer acceptance of new products and product changes.

5.Reviews and approves supplier documentation on new and revised purchased components.

6.Provides technical support, documentation and guidance on new products to New Product Introduction Assembly Department, inspection lab and manufacturing plants.

7.Leads development team in finding root cause and developing corrective action for New Product QNs and supports efforts for systemic improvements of AQP Processes to reduce New Products QNs.

8.Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
9.Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: BS Degree in Engineering or other related field
PREFERRED: ASQC Certification (CQE)
MS in Quality, Engineering or other technical discipline

REQUIRED: 3 years experience in Quality Engineering or related field
PREFERRED: 3-5 years in automotive Quality Engineering or related field in a new product introduction environment.

•Strong organizational skill to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload
•Strong problem solving skills and use of techniques (5-why, IS/IS NOT, fishbone diagram, etc)
•PC skills. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and other Windows based software.
•Good interpersonal skills for effective leadership and team facilitation
•Solid knowledge of metrology and GD&T
•Knowledge of 6 sigma tools, statistics
•Knowledge of automotive engineering specifications (AIAG, TS16949)
•Design of Experiments training
•Working knowledge of electronic components, electro-mechanical products, SMT/PTH assembly processes, injection molding processes
•Quality System and Supplier Auditing
•QS/TS16949 Internal auditing training
•Able to travel (domestic and international) up to 20%
