The AR Accountant secures revenue by verifying and posting receipts, maintaining close relationship to customers, resolving discrepancies and supporting the Finance Team in other assigned projects as required.

  • Upload and application of customer payments (EFT Payments, Credit Card Payments, Paypal, WorldPay, Checks)
  • Petty Cash Management
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Subledger Reconciliation
  • Assist on Month End Close
  • Collect outstanding Dealer invoices
  • Monitor and reconcile indirect customer accounts
  • Verify validity of account discrepancies and deductions made
  • Resolution of customer issues and other disputes
  • Monitor customer payment plans, payment behavior and credit line
  • Maintain customer credit limits
  • Review and release customer accounts on hold
  • New customer set-up
  • Weekly and monthly aging analysis
  • Weekly collections analysis
  • Weekly and monthly accounts receivables reporting (Aging, Cashflow Forecast, DSO, Sales Analysis)
  • Work closely with Sales Department to maintain price protections and verify account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating required information
  • Work closely with Order Management to ensure timely receiving in of dealer returns and timely invoice entry in vendor systems
  • Calculate, report and remit monthly California Sales Tax
  • Assist with general administrative tasks
  • Ad hoc projects

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting/Finance
  • Experience 3+ years in Accounts Receivables
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Experience in cash applications
  • Experience with Oracle EBS is a plus
  • Experience with California Sales Tax
  • Pro-active individual with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to think outside the box
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Good organizational and time management skills with ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, must be individual contributor and team player
  • Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles

FINANCE AT NATIVE INSTRUMENTS The NI Finance department consists of the three sub-departments Accounting, Controlling and Business Applications, and is approximately 30 people strong. Its staff takes care of all financial matters within the company, including forecasting and budget reviews, and also functions as an interface towards external partners, banks and auditors. The Business Application team provides business-to-business software tools and works closely together with departments such as Web Development, Supply Chain Management and Sales.
