TETRA Technologies Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Area Sales Manager in Oklahoma City, OK for ESG. The Mid Continent area includes Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and North Texas. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the North America leadership team, responsible for providing and leading the strategic direction, tactical planning and engagement expertise for all activities with sales and marketing, including key account management, account development, customer relationship maintenance.

  • Independently lead the outside sales team to deliver results on a timely basis and in a professional manner
  • Coaching and mentor direct reports to improve their sales and business skills
  • Assist direct reports with establishing individual business goals and measure their performance
  • Develop strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans, set sales goals and analyze opportunities to grow market share with Mid Continent US area E&P organizations
  • Responsible for development of sales forecasting and tracking, marketing analysis and rollout, market opportunity and threat analysis, pricing analysis and contract negotiation
  • Establish pricing strategies, manage outreach programs and be responsible for external interface of the company and its products and services, including account development and high level relationship management, project coordination and follow up
  • Collaborates with sales team members and field operations to develop commercial and technical proposals that address the client’s needs
  • Builds relationships with key decision makers
  • Plans and participates in sales shows, conferences etc
  • Troubleshoots problems regarding job performance
  • Will spend 75% of time traveling to customers
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales in the oil and gas industry in the Mid Continent area
  • Establish contacts at appropriate levels in E & P organizations
  • Demonstrated record of achieving sales growth
  • Proven ability to successfully lead and manage a sales organization
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills used to direct/ persuade/influence others
  • Effective communicator and decision-maker
  • Verified track record of close on sales at all levels, field, city and executive
  • Application and technical knowledge of completion services and/or production testing
  • Will spend 80% of time traveling to customers
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred
  • Position will be based in Oklahoma City, OK.
