Will assist the Director of Recreation Parks and Historic Sites Division in overseeing more than 30 Recreation Parks and Historic Sites that are spread across the state. Will serve as first-line supervisor over about half of the Park Managers. Will do routine inspections of park facilities and buildings to ensure park assets are utilized appropriately, review preliminary annual budgets submitted by park managers, monitor and analyze monthly financial information and make recommendations to park managers for improvement where needed. Demonstrate strong leadership in employee relations and development. |

Characteristics of the Class :
Provides administrative support services to a division director. Provides technical management assistance to organizational units within the division. Performs the duties of the director in her/his absence; and performs other duties as required.
Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements :
Work is primarily performed in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
