DESCRIPTION

Woodfords Family Services In-Home Support department is seeking a creative, commited and motivated individual interested in working with children and families to join them as an Assistant Director for Region 1 (Southern Maine)

1.Oversee the intake and coordination of services to children eligible for In-Home Support Services, and complete intakes if necessary.
2.Develop, submit and implement plans for services, meeting Department guidelines of acceptable goals and objectives, with attention to Medicaid policies.
3.In conjunction with Program Director, attend Regional In-Home Support Provider Meeting.
4.Assign field staff to appropriate families.
5.Provide supervision to all Field Supervisors in Region I bi-weekly.
6.Assist in staff interview process.
7.Maintain a caseload of 440 billable hours.
8.Maintain accurate documentation of all supervisory meetings, problems and solutions.
9.Seek professional growth through attendance at workshops, seminars, conferences, or advance course work.
10.Maintain public image and seek to advance knowledge of In-Home Support within the community.
11.Meet monthly with BCBA's to assure consistency and be updated regarding specialized services delivery.
12.Complete billing bi-weekly.
13.Oversee productivity of BHPs and Field Supervisors. Report this information to finance monthly.
14.Performs such other duties and assumes other reasonable responsibilities as appropriately assigned by the Program Director.

4.Meet monthly with Program Director to discuss performance, problems or concerns.
5.Communicate to families and field staff, changes in In-Home Support Services.

QUALIFICATIONS

1.Must have a LSW or LSW Conditional license, special education or directly related field and three years' experience working with families and/or children with special needs.
2.The ability to interact with, develop and maintain effective working relationships with families, in-home support staff and other service providers.
3.Knowledge of typical and atypical child development, and the development and functioning of family systems.
4.Excellent communication skills in writing, speaking and listening.
5.Knowledge about the most common developmental disabilities and delays that children may experience.
6.Ability to plan, to organize, establish priorities, schedule workloads and respond effectively and appropriately to crisis situations.
7.Must be an American citizen, or maintain legal alien status.
8.Must have a valid State of Maine driver's license, and the use of a vehicle.
9.Must possess the ability to deal with the stress of the position in an appropriate manner.
10.Must possess the mental, physical and emotional health to carry out the position of Assistant Program Director for the In-Home Support Program.
