Master’s degree in Nursing, two (2) years collegiate teaching experience and four (4) years of current nursing experience required. Eligibility for or current CT licensure required. A sound knowledge in fundamentals of Nursing practice required. College teaching in an AND program and clinical nursing experience preferred. A demonstrated understanding of the mission of the comprehensive community college and its diverse commuter student population is essential.

Under the direction of the Academic Division Director of Nursing and Allied Health, responsibilities include classroom, clinical and laboratory teaching in nursing fundamentals for a NLNAC accredited program; related course development and evaluation, student advisement and tutoring; developing and maintaining relationships with community agencies consistent with the mission of the college; and participation in departmental and college-wide activities associated with a full-time faculty position. Teaching schedule may include days, evenings, and/or weekends.
