ASSOC. DIR. MARKET RESEARCH US HIV(Job Number: 1203543)
Oversees and leads market research to drive business performance of the market leading BMS’ US HIV portfolio. Responsible for supporting financial projections and budget planning with Rx-based portfolio forecasts. Will be supported by a team of two research managers. Can independently represent the market research function on key business teams and meetings contributing in ways consistent with our Market Research vision and strategies. Deals with complex business issues by identifying and providing superior analyses and reasoned solutions based on the integration of a variety of primary and secondary data sources. Demonstrates the ability to accurately assess business issues and develop the appropriate market research designs – both primary and secondary – to address them. Demonstrates command of various inline forecasting techniques and comfort with financial concepts. Communicates concisely and positively with all levels and functions in the organization. Demonstrates strong skills in communicating with and persuading senior matrix partners. Demonstrates ability to lead, coach and develop direct reports. Contributes to the development and deployment of innovative approaches and techniques in market research that are unique and reflect best practices. Helps deploy these in a way that contributes to the growth of the business.
The successful candidate will have a M.B.A. or an advanced degree in Marketing, Business, Marketing Research, Social Science or equivalent. Strong quantitative (both primary and secondary) and qualitative market research skills, with 7 or more years of relevant job experience. Forecasting experience with inline assets. Experience managing direct reports. The strong candidate will have work experience in marketing research, marketing analytics or strategic business planning in pharmaceuticals, health care, or other industries where market research is a core capability. Experience and knowledge of the HIV therapeutic area is a plus. Demonstration of leadership ability, strong communication skills and knowledge of business and marketing principles is required. First hand experience with working on and influencing multi functional teams.
