Plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the Solid Waste Department including personnel management, policy evaluation and development, management information systems and employee training and development; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Solid Waste Director.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration or related field, plus eight (8) years of professional/managerial experience in public sector operation's management to include five (5) years of direct supervisory experience in a management and/or administrative capacity. Professional/managerial experience in solid waste disposal and landfill operations preferred. Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
