ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Associate Medical Director to join our team at our office in Tampa, FL. The Associate Medical Director will assist the Medical Director in facilitating and monitoring access to services and ensure that care is of the highest quality and rendered in an efficient manner.

Position Responsibilities:
Serve as the assistant to the Medical Director in the areas of medical provider relations, quality management, utilization management, clinical systems design and clinical operations.

Assists with medical leadership for clinical standards, guidelines and operations for the Tampa Service Center.

Identifies physicians’ outlier utilization patterns and/or clinical practices which require improvement. Educating participating physicians and clinicians on various policies and procedures.

Assists the Quality Management and Call Center Teams in regards to Peer Reviews, Critical Incidents and Appeals.

Assists with compliance of state and federal regulatory requirements which apply to medical care issues.

Position Requirements:
Education : MD/DO and completion of psychiatric residency.

Licensures: MD/DO licensed in State of Florida.

Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of five (5) years post residency clinical practice required. Three (3) years direct managed care experience, preferably in behavioral health desired.
