AT&T Sr. Member of Technical Staff - IP Networking (Redmond, WA) This selected candidate will be considered a Network Engineer on the Lab Operations team located in the WTC Mobility Integration Test lab in Redmond, WA. This individual will be responsible for supporting AT&T Mobility's Lab Data IP Networks, specifically the Lab’s complex Core CBB/Mobility network, and must possess an in depth knowledge and understanding of AT&T’s CBB infrastructure and Mobility services. The position will require scheduling and deployment of a number of new services / product deployments. This individual will also be required to maintain the day to day operations of a large production-like network. This includes node management, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts for projects critical to the business. Responsibilities: Build and support network related infrastructure systems. Respond to trouble tickets and perform troubleshooting on network devices. Investigate technical escalations; assist in troubleshooting sessions with customer support teams, certification teams, and vendor's technical support teams to revolve all network issues. Review and execute deployment guidelines in the lab environment to ensure successful network element deployments. Maintain and administer network standards, documentation, processes and procedures. Work closely with other team members to integrate network devices into the overall network design. Work with Customers to activate services; assist with problem resolution as required. Responsible for updating technical documentation / drawings associated with each implementation. At AT&T, our Chief Technology Office (CTO) is the embodiment of innovation. Required Qualifications - Entry into this title requires Technical Title Plan (TTP) Board Approval A Ph.D. in an approved field from an accredited university, or a Master's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience The candidate must be a subject matter expert in the area of IP networking, design and implementation specific to the build of the lab infrastructure. This position requires the candidate to understand the design, to perform test and troubleshoot complex Core CBB/ Mobility network deployment scenarios. Hands-on experience with CISCO 7600, GSR, CRS-1 routers and JUNIPER M320, MX960 routers at expert level is required. The candidate must possess the hands-on experience and knowledge to perform the SW/FW/HW upgrades of the platforms he supports. Experience with OSPF, MPLS, and BGP. This position will require an applied experience in Data Center Operations, and must possess an understanding and practical experience with Cisco’s switching and routing technologies. Cisco Network Engineering proficiency is required with extensive experience across multiple Cisco platforms and products (NEXUS 7000 series switches, 7600, 7200 series routers, & 7600/6500 series switches). Experience and knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS XR and NX-OS operating systems. The candidate must possess Juniper Network Engineering proficiency and demonstrate extensive experience across multiple Juniper platforms and products and also knowledge of the Juniper JUNOS operating system. Knowledge and experience in the deployment and implementation of IPv6. The candidate must have strong analytical skills, and the ability to perform advanced problem determination, resolution, and analysis. Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills. The selected candidate must be a team player with demonstrated initiative to work without constant guidance.
