We are currently recruiting for a high energy, results oriented professional for the role of AVP, Human Resources and Special Projects to work directly for one of our clients. The AVP, Human Resources & Special Projects is responsible for providing support, customizing, developing, championing and implementing key initiatives related to talent management, organizational capability and employee engagement across the Affiliates that will enable the achievement of the overall business strategy. Including but not limited to, workforce planning; succession planning; and performance management. Additionally, the AVP, HR Special Projects will ensure legal & regulatory compliance; training & development program development; and policy & procedure development. (Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following)
Implement Human Resource strategic initiatives in support of short-term and long-term business goals
Provide business leaders the tools and resources to deliver high levels of performance
Partner with Chief Resource Officer to drive innovative solutions to Business Unit leaders
Develop and implement talent development/succession and performance management strategies
Provide clear, concise HR communications throughout the organization
Serve as advisor and coach to BU leaders to increase individual, team and organization effectiveness and performance
Partner with Corporate Services team to enhance quality of talent, identify areas for improvement and implement plans to mitigate gaps Drives organizational development activities with key leadership
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the HR function
Partner with Legal Counsel to mitigate risk in employee relations issues and legal matters
Assist with development and administration of compensation programs including benchmarking and salary surveys
Oversee preparation of detailed job descriptions and classification systems with defined job levels and families
Assist in analyzing compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plans Oversee HR scorecard development and coordinate with HR functional teams

BA/BS or equivalent experience/certification SKILLS:
7-10 years progressive generalist HR management experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Ability to lead teams and drive results
Microsoft Office proficiency
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees
Ability to implement HR processes
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
