The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. has opening for VP, Mortgage Credit Risk Analyst
, this role can be based in Downers Grove IL, Pittsburgh PA, or Raleigh NC-
in the Loss Forecasting and Analytics team responsible for the loss forecast of the serviced mortgage portfolio.
The position will be responsible for performing complex research, quantitative analysis, modeling and monitoring of retail assets to assess and manage potential risk factors.
You will be charged with the analysis of the data including monitoring, assessment and recommendation to mitigate potential exposure to future loss while balancing revenue and income for the PNC Mortgage line of business.
Work closely with the Line of Business and senior management within the Risk Management Division to understand key business drivers and to develop performance measurements to improve management's ability to assess current portfolio risk.
You will be charged with conducting predictive analysis which may include scorecard development/validation.
You will be conducting forecast assessment to arrive at appropriate reserves in partnership with Finance.
You will be analyzing key drivers and variances to loan loss forecast versus actual losses.
This role will be responsible for the execution and review of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports.
The individual will the key catalyst in identifying drivers contributing to credit losses within the mortgage portfolio.
You will be charged with on-going strategy development, implementation policy recommendation, and maximization of the risk/ reward trade-off in support of your direct manager and department goals.
You will mitigate any bottlenecks in the work flow process and work in tandem within the line of business, external service partners, and senior management while maximizing the resources at hand to accomplish the day to day workload required.
This position may supervise Analyst I's or II's. They will be expected to work on a more independent basis than either I's or II's and will be expected to assist Risk Segment Managers in the daily management of the department
This position will assist in training newer Analyst I's and Analyst II's. Analysts II are expected to typically work more independently than an Analyst I on more complex assignments
Qualifications needed for this position:
Bachelors degree in Math, Stastics, Economics, Marketing , Finance or related field.
5+ years experience in a financial and /or technical analysis business related environment
Experience in a related analytical discipline or practical working knowledge of Risk Management techniques including score card development and validation or portfolio analysis
Extensive use of spreadsheet and database applications on PC. detailed knowledge of computer operations and procedures Position requires proficient analytical, human relations and communications skill.
Must be proficient in SAS Programming
in PC, Unix and mainframe environment
Demonstrated knowledge of consumer and business lending and/or collections operations.
The position requires sophisticated macro-analysis of data from numerous sources and the ability to develop rational conclusions and recommendations from the results of the analysis.
Strong written, interpersonal and oral communications skills.
High abilities to collaborate, deliver under pressure while executing within the core values of PNC and the Risk Management Division.
