Our direct insurance client in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a talented AVP of Business Systems to help manage and implement a large underwriting system for a full time role.
Gathering requirements, developing workflow and system specifications, and execution of tasks required to deliver IT solutions in support of internal and vendor supported applications.
Requirements:Eligible candidates MUST have the following:
Successfully implemented a large underwriting system as a Project Manager.
Technical Analysis with SQL experience.
Understand the strategic direction of the supported business unit(s) and manage the technology applications to enhance the operation of the business.
Define requirements, test plans, and deployment plans in support of the business unit.
Prioritize, manage, and communicate plans for system capabilities and deployment.
Work within the Information Technology group to implement the needs of the business.
Function as Project Manager and Business Analyst.
Insurance industry experience.
4 year degree required.
P&C (Property & Casualty) experience, a plus.
7 to 10 years' experience with project management and/or implementation of system requirements based on changes in workflow or changes in business requirements.
7 to 10 years' experience in writing detailed business plans and business cases with detailed scopes of work.
7 to 10 years' experience with business process re-engineering.
7 to 10 years' experience in building test case scenarios.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Project).
