Advise students of the Liberal Studies Program on academic programs, policies and procedures and provide career counseling. Interpret University and school policies and recommend exceptions to policy when appropriate. Please note: this is a reduced month position and will work 10 months per year with pay pro-rated salary over a 12-month period.

Qualifications/Required Education:
Bachelor's degree and

Preferred Education:
Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, or other appropriate field.

Required Experience:
2 years' relevant experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience advising students at the college or university level.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):

Excellent organizational, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems. Ability to supervise staff. Knowledge of standard office software.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):

Experience with web-site management.
