This position is responsible for assisting lower level students in a successful transition into college. It serves students in a number of different potential majors. Knowledge of university policies and procedures, student degree audit maintenance, advising techniques, and student development are required. Direct university experience is required.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):
This position requires a Master's degree in a College of Arts and Sciences major, Counseling, or Student Personnel Service and a minimum of one year of university experience in advising.
Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Master's degree in a Science or Math area, Counseling, or Student Personnel Service and one year advising experience at the university level. Prefer direct experience working with freshmen students.
