We ’re looking for an amazingly brilliant Mathematics Content Expert to find, evaluate, and enrich grade 6-12 Math content and assessments for our open platform —which allows any user, anywhere in the world, to create or discover an adaptive learning experience.

We are seeking individuals with grade 6-12 mathematics pedagogical content knowledge. Your job will be to seed the platform with content and empower communities of users to add to that base. In the process, you ’ll interact with our Adaptive Instruction, Design, Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams. You ’ll develop a whole new vocabulary and a set of skills you never knew existed.

Responsibilities ● Classify, analyze, and tag the universe of educational content ● Help build courses and learning experiences from this content base to demonstrate the power of adaptive learning ● Collaborate with the Product team on tools that make this process scalable ● Evaluate ‘learning experience ’ content by recognizing prerequisite knowledge the content assumes and identifying specific learning outcomes the content targets ● Evaluate assessment content and match it to a variety of ‘learning experience ’ content Requirements/Qualifications ● 1-2 years ’ experience ● Bachelor ’s or Master ’s degree; Master ’s degree in education a plus ● Familiarity with educational standards and middle school/high school curriculum, grade 7-12 teaching experience a plus ● Exceptional communication skills and scrupulous attention to detail ● Strong organizational skills and capacity to communicate in cross-functional groups ● Good quantitative and logical skills ● Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Perks include competitive salary " stock options, flexible hours, unlimited paid time off, huge monitors, the latest macs, a kitchen filled with your favorite treats, frequent guest speakers, excellent health benefits, and a chance to do meaningful, cutting edge work in a dynamic environment.
