Under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director this position provides comprehensive support services for intercollegiate student-athletes through mentoring, counseling and providing proactive monitoring to student-athletes in assigned sports. The coordinator must be able to interpret student-athlete needs and academic progress and provide individualized service. This position requires interaction with coaching staffs ensuring they are kept apprise of any issues regarding members of their team. This individual will be responsible for hiring and assigning tutors, monitoring study hall as well as conducting study skills workshops. This position will also be an integral part of the recruiting process by meeting with recruits regarding academics and/or student-athlete development programs.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required.
Two years of full-time experience working within a Division I Athletic Department.
Familiarity with NCAA Division I eligibility rules and regulations.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:
Master's Degree in related field.
The ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
Experience with NCAA Division I Rules and Regulations.
Three or more years experience working with student-athletes academic performance at an NCAA Division I institution.
