We are seeking an Academic Supervisor, located in our San Francisco center. Intrax Centers provide English training, academic services and career preparation programs to over 3000 international students per year across the US.
This is a full time, salaried position with benefits. This position reports directly to the Center Director, with an “answer-to” relationship with the Director of Academics and Student Services at Intrax headquarters.
Responsibilities:
Provide strong Academic leadership at the center level to ensure consistent, high quality delivery of differentiated products
Support curriculum development and day-to-day delivery of English Language and Professional Skills offerings
Support overall center performance and operations as led by Center Director
Essential functions:
Proactively contribute and collaborate as a key member of the Intrax Academic Team
Provide strong leadership and direct supervision to Academic team within your center
Develop upcoming leaders within your center
Manage all Academic daily, weekly or session tasks
Ensure consistent, high quality delivery across all centers of current curriculum
Contribute to the development of additional Intrax offerings to drive profitable enrollment
Collaborate with Student Services and Administrative teams to ensure best customer experience for all participants
Additional Responsibilities
Support efforts to leverage curricula, teacher training tools, and center facilities to support all Intrax programs and offices
The ideal candidate will possess: Required:
B.A. in related field
TESOL Certification or equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience working in a corporate environment
At least 3 years classroom teaching experience
Able and motivated to support Professional Skills instructors and curricula in addition to Practical English offerings and instructors.
At least 2 years of responsibility as a direct supervisor, with demonstrated skills in team management
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide strong leadership in a context of divergent opinions
Outstanding verbal and written skills with a focus on concise, action-oriented communications
Management style defined by proactive problem solving and transparency
Experience providing performance reviews and individualized training plans
Proven budget management experience with close attention to cost implications of decisions
Proven skills in managing curriculum development via partnerships and/or authoring
Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize constantly evolving business needs
Proficient with all MS Office applications and ability to learn database and CLE systems. Confidence to lead effective use of technology in classroom, curriculum development and as resources to enhance student learning.
Proven ability to manage detail in using all business processes and systems
Ability to travel domestically as needed
Preferred:
Customer service experience in sales or student counseling capacity
Experience living or studying abroad
Proven experience with online learning tools (LMS, CLE, online assessment tools, social networking tools, smartphone apps, etc.)
