Able to combine business process definition, structured analysis and IT fluency in order to streamline and automate various reporting applications. Ideal candidate will be able to restructure existing reporting tools to make them more efficient, automated and easy to use.
Must have working experience in maintaining, fixing and streamlining existing VBA procedures and subroutines in various complex Excel and Access reporting tools. Must have deep understanding and knowledge of MS Excel to be able to create and maintain complicated spreadsheets, advanced formulas and dashboards. Proficient in process definition and documentation. Prepare, analyze and maintain technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions. Be able to utilize multiple methods of collecting data such as raw SQL commands, Hyperion reports, BusinessObjects, ODBC linked tables etc. Must have clear understanding of relational database structure and development. Strong data collection, correlation and organization ability is highly desirable. Maintain technical knowledge base and process documentation through Microsoft's SharePoint.
The Business Consultant helps align IT solutions with business solution area (BSA) needs. Working under the guidance of the Business Consulting Leader (BCL), the Business Consultant coordinates ideas, maintains internal relationships, interfaces with external customers, models business processes, replicates and measures program and project benefits and develops business cases.
Under minimal guidance, formulates and defines business transformation scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business processes, systems, and industry requirements. With this knowledge, designs or modifies moderately complex business processes and the corresponding information technology solutions. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing business processes as necessary. Guides and advises less experienced staff. Competent to work in the initiate phase of solution delivery life cycle and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
